A message from MN ADOPT regarding racial injustice:
At MN ADOPT, we continue to be saddened by the death of George Floyd and stand with those who are protesting the systematic racism and inequities that have persisted in our country for generations. We must demand better from our leaders, our systems, ourselves and each other. We are committed to promoting racial justice and fighting the systematic inequities and discrimination that leads to the senseless loss of life, disproportionate numbers of Black and Indigenous children and families in the child welfare system and inequities that impact the daily lives of communities of color. We are strengthened in our resolve to do better as members of the Minnesota Child Welfare community and to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within our own organization. We know that deepening our commitment includes listening to BIPOC voices in our community to better understand how we can best be part of long-term solutions moving ahead.
While we work to be better and do better at MN ADOPT to address these injustices, we remain committed to providing support, tools, and resources to your family during this difficult time. Here are some resources that may be helpful.
