(April 2017) Who, what, where, when, why and how? This webinar will address topics ranging from why a child/teen might have a neuropsychological evaluation, what to expect from the evaluation, and what to do with results following an evaluation. Parents and providers will also learn what makes a neuropsychological evaluation different from other assessments (e.g., diagnostic assessment). Learn how this level of evaluation deepens understanding of a child’s unique needs in a number of areas and helps tailor recommendations for them to experience more success in all environments.
Amy Gross, PhD, LP, BCBA-D is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. She completed her M.S. at North Dakota State University and Ph.D. at Western Michigan University. Her psychology internship was in Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and post-doctoral fellowship was at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Gross is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Dr. Gross’ clinical and research interests include behavioral and developmental disorders in young children; pediatric weight management and adolescent weight loss surgery; and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Gross works closely with the Adoption Medicine program at the University of Minnesota, providing both neuropsychological evaluations and intervention to children and their families.
