Experiences in childhood set the stage for lifelong mental health. I enjoy working with children on the adoption permanency spectrum and their caregivers in finding healthy solutions to the challenges they face. When working with children I utilize play therapy, an approach that allows children to express themselves through their natural language of play. When given a safe space to play freely children are better able to integrate their experiences in order to grow and heal.
I work closely with parents and caregivers throughout the therapy process. Through our work I hope to support and strengthen parent child relationships and promote lasting positive changes that will lead to greater joy for families.

Some of the issues that I can support children on the adoption permanency spectrum in working through are processing trauma and grief, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem, transitions, and child- caregiver attachment/ relationships. I can see clients both individually and/or in family sessions depending on the need of the child. It is likely that both family and individual sessions will be utilized throughout the treatment process.

I believe that therapy should be fun and engaging for both children and their caregivers! It is a privilege to provide a space for kids and families to increase emotional expression, increase their ability to cope, develop stronger relationships and increase confidence and self-awareness.
