Elizabeth Szybatka, MA, LPCC, RPT-S has her Master’s degree in Child/Adolescent Counseling Psychology from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor through the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy and a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor through the National Association for Play Therapy. Elizabeth works full-time as a Mental Health Professional and Clinical Supervisor with Lighthouse Child & Family Services in Cambridge, MN. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Play Therapy Certificate Program at Bethel University and serves as Secretary on the MN Association for Play Therapy.

Elizabeth has worked in the mental health field for 10 years in outpatient, in-home, and school-based settings. Elizabeth specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma, adversity, and attachment disruptions. She provides individual and parent-child therapy for children from birth through early adolescence

Elizabeth utilizes a client-centered, trauma-focused approach and is trained in Somatic Experiential Play Therapy, Theraplay, Attachment Bio-Behavioral Catch Up, and Diagnostic Assessments for infancy & early childhood. Elizabeth has a deep understanding of attachment disruptions and is skilled in supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship care families through their journey, as a graduate of U of MN’s Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate program.
