I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and the co-owner of Twin Cities Teen Counseling, LLC. I have over 13 years of experience in supportive mental health services and have held positions in residential treatment, juvenile detention, group home, in-home and shelter settings.
I specialize in therapeutic services for adolescents and have a particular passion partnering with foster/adopt families. I previously worked inside the foster care system so am well versed in the unique challenges that can arise in navigating the process.
Foster care adoption is one of the most heartfelt and gratifying journeys a family can embark on. I have been honored to walk this journey with many wonderful adoptees and their families and have a strong track record of improving cohesion and strengthening the overall well-being and sense of connection within families. I also connect readily with teens, even the ones who are initially on board with attending therapy.
I have extensive history treating trauma and am training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I am very committed to the clients and families I serve and will be there as a consistent and stable support.
