LaTasha is experienced with working with individuals of all ages and various diagnosis including depression, anxiety, bi polar disorders, panic, and other mood disorders. In addition, she also works with individuals who have experienced physical, sexual, relational, bullying related, childhood, or other environmental trauma, as well as individuals diagnosed with personality disorders, reactive attachment disorder, ADHD, and development disorders. She enjoys working with individuals who experience struggles associated with adoption related issues, as well as blended family dynamics and challenging family transitional situations (e.g. divorce, relocation, etc.).
LaTasha utilizes an eclectic approach to Therapy, exploring ways to tailor the Therapeutic experience to each individual’s personal needs. She often focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, as well as Eye Movement Desensitization Recovery (EMDR) Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (as well as other Therapeutic Techniques) to support an effective therapeutic process. She also openly embraces concepts of diversity within services offered, and addresses ethnic, cultural, socio economic, gender related, and sexual orientation related challenges related to finding healing and growth within various situations.
LaTasha openly expresses a sense of passion for concepts and opportunities for recovery and healing from trauma, and pulls from personal life experiences to heighten the quality of services offered. Foundational perspectives of her practice surround the idea that ‘all individuals can find empowerment within themselves to build a life worth living, and to create a personal passion for embracing a thriving quality of life.’
