Sara Stallman has been providing mental health and early intervention services to children and their families for the last 13 years. She grew up in a small farming community and later attended Concordia College, Moorhead. She received her master’s in social work at Augsburg College.

Sara is a licensed clinical social worker in both Minnesota and North Dakota.  Sara works with children on issues related to anxiety, depression, and attention and behavioral difficulties. She recognizes that caregivers are vital to the treatment process. Sara sees each caregiver as “the true expert” of their child and works to make them integral to the healing process.

Sara also specializes in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy to help children heal from significant stressors, losses and/or abuse.  She is Nationally Certified as a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.

She has graduated from the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate (PACC) program through the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare at the University of Minnesota, specializing in foster care and adoption issues. Working with caregivers and children who are part of the foster care system is a true passion for her.

Sara and her husband have three daughters and are licensed foster parents for children in Clay County.
