CHLSS Parent-Child Education & Support Group

Preregistration is required prior to the first session in the series.

Children’s Home Society and Lutheran Social Service offer adoptee support groups which engage in age-appropriate discussions about diversity and culture, friendship, race, school issues, adoption and birth families. Each group is open to adopted children and their families, regardless of placing agency.

This series will take place on the second Saturday of each month for eight months. The groups are broken into different sessions by age, within each session children may be divided into smaller groups based on their age. While the children meet, a corresponding parent session takes place for parents to listen and learn from each other—although the Lollipop and Bubblegum groups meet separately, the parents from these sessions will meet in one large group.

For information about future groups visit  https://chlss.org/education-events/  or email PAS@chlss.org.
