Hello! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist specializing in helping children and adults impacted by Trauma.

I have worked with children, teens and adults for over 18 years in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health, in-home family therapy and now as the co-owner of Willow Creek Counseling in New London, Minnesota since 2016.
Since 2015, I have practiced Experiential Play Therapy with children who are experiencing difficulty due to a variety of early-life disruptions that have included birth trauma, foster care/adoption, physical/emotional/sexual abuse, neglect, divorce, witnessing of domestic violence, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Reactive Attachment Disorder. I have also worked with children and adolescents dealing with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, ODD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Adjustment Disorders.

I believe in working collaboratively with caregivers from the very first session to the last. Willow Creek Counseling works to collect as much history about each client as possible for a comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment and each client will have their own Treatment Plan which be revised as treatment progresses. We meet regularly with caregivers to access feedback and provide treatment progress and ask that caregivers fill out Play Therapy Feedback forms each session. We also provide additional support by hosting a monthly Parent Adoption Support Group for Adoptive/Foster/Kinship families.

We provide collaboration and communication as well as assistance in referring caregivers to Physicians, Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Teachers, Special Education Professionals, Wraparound Programs and others working with your children as we know that the more support a child and family receives in achieving emotional wellness, the faster healing begins.
