Denise Lacher is the Family Attachment Center’s Director of Attachment Programs. Ms. Lacher has received extensive training in attachment theory, post-traumatic stress disorders, and parenting. Ms. Lacher came to the Center in 1994, and specializes in Trauma Focused-CBT, EMDR and Family Attachment Narrative Therapy. She co-authored Connecting with Kids Through Stories: Using Narratives to Facilitate Attachment in Adopted Children-Second Edition; Parenting with Stories; First Steps for Strengthening Adoptive Families; and Family Attachment Narrative Therapy. In K. D .Doyle & D. Reed (Eds.), Attachment Theory in Action: Building connections Between Children and Parents.

Ms. Lacher has presented nationally on the assessment and treatment of attachment and trauma related disorders.
