Mark Zaczkowski, MSW, LICSW

(He / Him / His)

Mark works with adults and children of all ages, primarily in individual and family therapy. He has worked mostly with young children, fathers and families around issues such as trauma, immigration, parenting, adoption and permanency. Mark uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to assist in healing and coping by accessing client strengths and relationships, and by approaching issues from a developmental perspective. He uses a combination of child-directed play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment based therapy, family systems theory and a variety of other treatment modalities that are meaningful and relevant for his clients.

Mark is fluent in both English and Spanish.

“I believe that therapy is a unique and creative process every time it happens. I believe that it requires trust, bravery, openness and honesty that goes both ways. No matter who you are and why you might want therapy I will work hard to provide a safe and comfortable space and a meaningful connection to try to help figure things out.

I work with adults and children of all ages and provide individual and family therapy. Healing and coping happen in so many different ways, therefore I use a variety of techniques and theories to guide therapy. I try to be flexible while using those techniques and theories and I always strive to provide care that is founded on your strengths, your goals, your capacities, and relationships. The things that we face are complex and confusing and I try to understand the context as best I can. I use a combination of child-centered play therapy, yoga calm and mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, developmental repair theory, family systems theory and a variety of other treatment modalities that are meaningful and relevant.

I am fluent in both English and Spanish and am comfortable with providing therapy in either language or a combination of the two.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please reach out if you have any other questions.”
