Scott Emmons has worked in the field of mental health for over 15 years, with most of his experience and training geared toward children and teens. He has extensive training in trauma work, grief and identity work related to adoption, cognitive behavioral therapy, and has training and experience using an evidence based training model call MAP.

He works extensively with children and teens who are placed in foster care settings, and have helped with clients and families preparing for the process of adoption. He also works with families who have adopted to help support and strengthen family relationships.

Scott has graduated from the University of Minnesota Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare Permanency & Adoption Competency Certificate Program (PACC).
