If you’ve spent 10 minutes with Jontae then you’ve likely had a healthy debate about who is or was the greatest player of all time in the NFL, the best Marvel characters, or taste in music or movies. Jontae is very approachable and it often seems like he’d be able to hold a conversation with just about anyone talking, well, just about anything. He knows a crafty card trick that so far no one else has been able to solve. Jontae is an upbeat person and likes to direct his energy out on the football field and more recently inside the boxing gym – although he’s still getting the hang of working the speedbag. Jontae cares a lot about his personal fitness and doesn’t like to miss his workouts – he occasionally challenges his younger brother to push-up contests. He has a close bond with his brother and sister, but he certainly takes on a leadership role with his siblings and looks out for them. People who know Jontae report that he is positive, optimistic, and charismatic.

Jameeko is personable and polite and he likes to be in the company of others. In some ways Jameeko is a bit more mature than the average pre-teen. For instance, Jameeko will occasionally order a coffee over a soda, or he’ll check out what’s happening on the news channels before turning to a sports game. But his love for video games and playing outside provides a quick reminder that he’s still a kid. Jameeko can be nostalgic at times and loves talking about memories and stories from the past. He likes to learn and he’s frequently able to assist his fellow classmates in his stronger subject areas. Family is very important to Jameeko, and he looks up to his older brother and looks out for his younger sister who is in an adoptive placement.

Jameeko and Jontae will need a family that can provide a listening ear, a degree of patience, and plenty of opportunities to participate in programs and activities. The right family will need to be involved in their education and willing to work with Jameeko and Jontae to design clear, agreeable rules and expectations without being unreasonably strict. Their family would need to be supportive of their close sibling bond while helping each of them to continue to develop their own unique interests and abilities. Jameeko and Jontae would both like to remain in contact with their younger sister and their birth father. The siblings prefer a mother-and-father family or a single mother family. The siblings have lived most of their lives in the Twin Cities metro area and would prefer to remain in that area.
