Monica Seidel, LICSW, RYT

For over 15 years, Monica has provided clinical services to children, families, and adults. During her decade of employment in a residential treatment setting, Monica gained a depth and breadth of clinical knowledge targeted in the areas of trauma, maltreatment, attachment, anxiety, family systems, depression, ADHD, and co-occurring disorders.

Monica has experience working in a community mental health environment, providing therapy services across the lifespan to clients of many cultures with a wide range of mental health needs.

Monica approaches her therapy work from both a systemic and a developmental perspective, believing that there are multiple pathways to healing and that both the client and his/her environment hold keys to change.

Some of Monica’s therapeutic approaches include multi-sensory therapy, play therapy, EMDR, Thought Field Therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, animal-assisted therapy, yoga, and mindfulness. Monica has served on the Permanency and Adoption Competency Certificate Program offered through the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare at the University of Minnesota since its inception.
