Sarah Hamlin, MSW, LICSW

Sarah earned her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine’s University. She is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.

Sarah is a certified trainer for the Adverse Childhood Experiences through Minnesota Communities Caring for Children. She has extensive training and experience in child development, parenting, trauma, adoption and attachment. Sarah is able to provide DC 0-5 assessments. She believes positive relationships are key to good mental health. She also works to help clients attune to, and listen to, their bodies because that is where trauma is stored.

She uses play therapy, sand tray therapy, Theraplay and Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation (SMART) as her main treatment modalities. Sarah works from a strengths based perspective. Sarah generally sees children ages 10 and under and their parents. She also enjoys working solely with parents. She is open to seeing older children on a case by case basis.
